Without resorting to typical sports images or a traditional branding presentation, Brazil introduces the logo for the Olympics in 2016. It gorgeously showcases Rio and gives a new perspective to Olympic branding.

The new HTML5 logo stands strong and true, resilient and universal as the markup you write. It shines as bright and as bold as the forward-thinking, dedicated web developers you are. It's the standard's standard, a pennant for progress. And it certainly doesn't use tables for layout.

For every letter in the alphabet, Alessandro Novelli has picked a typeface that starts with the corresponding letter and animated each letter’s morph into the next. Fantastic.
